Mike Stack, MD of Tricel talks Brexit in Spanc Info Magazine (Issue. 50)

In this interview, Stack talks on the journey from Tricel’s origins in Kerry to its introduction to the French market in 2011 through to today, where Tricel is one of the leaders for wastewater treatment solutions in the European market.

Also covered in the article are the effects of Brexit on the French and English markets.

In France, Tricel is based in Naintré and Sorgues. It is in those factories that the wastewater treatment plants (Tricel Novo) and compact filters (Tricel Seta and Seta Simplex) are assembled. With the production of raw materials and components being located in Ireland, a Brexit without a deal would have little effect on Tricel France.

As for the British market, no-one knows for sure the consequences that might occur. Brexit represents a source of uncertainty which is never good for business. An exit from the European Union will have an economic impact, but it’s impossible to quantify.

While waiting, Tricel carries on working with its customers and suppliers to anticipate the changes to come.
