Tricel Director Mr. Con Stack participates in the launch of the Institute for Economic and Enterprise Research (iEER)
Mr. Con Stack, was invited to attend the groundbreaking event as a guest speaker. Mr. Stack is a Director at Tricel, al eading manufacturer for the Environmental, Construction, Water & Material industries, and has been involved with many Enterprise Ireland projects. He was actively involved in the 2015 International Selling Programme.
The International Selling Programme is Enterprise Ireland’s flagship programme designed to equip companies with the necessary tools to reach their export sales potential in today’s global market climate. Mr. Stack was also a Director and Committee Member of KTN, which is a Skillnets funded Training Network. Skillnets is an enterprise-led support body funded through the National Training Fund. This support body enables grant-aided training for the private sector through multiple industry and regional training networks.
Mr. Stack’s participation, and that of those like him, helped to demonstrate a variety of best practices aimed at the nurturing, support and development of entrepreneurial growth. The conference acted as a network exchange for the sharing of valuable insights in relation to supporting the development of entrepreneurs and those with innovative and new business approaches. In all, over a hundred participants from all over the European region attended the launch, ensuring a strong network of collaboration.
Ms. Elżbieta Bieńkowska, the European Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs highlighted the need to nurture such spirit among today’s growing business industry. Such sentiment was echoed by European Parliament member Mr. Lambert Van Nistelrooij who stated “The European parliament considers entrepreneurship, particularly young entrepreneurship, very important, so from the Parliament’s viewpoint, the iEER is a pearl among European projects”.
The EU funded project offers a means by which to boost and solidify relationships within the geographically segmented business regions, and help set up a strongly supportive entrepreneurial climate within Europe. Such factors indicate the creation of a pro-active ecosystem which is optimised for the growth of many new and innovative business ventures.
