What is PhosClear?
Tricel PhosClear is a ready-to-install system that reduces Phosphorus and E.coli wastewater without using chemicals.
It’s easy to add to both new and existing treatment setups and works without complex equipment or heavy maintenance. Using natural minerals from northern Sweden, it helps keep local rivers and lakes cleaner by reducing phosphorus in your wastewater.

How does it work?
Tricel Novo & PhosClear System
The process of removing phosphorus:
- The treated water from the Tricel Novo system enters the PhosClear treatment unit with gravitation through the inlet.
- Four bags with Polonite are placed in each of the four treatment chambers, and the water passes through the chamber alternately from top to bottom, and bottom to top.
- For a house with a nominal load, each year the four bags in the first chamber are removed, and the bags in the other chambers, are moved one chamber forward.
- The bags removes phosphorous through adsorption, and will also disinfect the treated water removing remaining E.coli bacteria.
- In the final chamber the treated water gravitates out of the system to the recipient. If it’s required to lift the water out of the system, and outlet optional outlet pump can be installed.
The connection : simple plug and play with Tricel Novo
The PhosClear system comes as a complete plug and play unit, and therefore as standard only has two connections, inlet and outlet, and for the optional pump versions also an electrical power supply.
- Inlet pipe from Tricel Novo or other treatment plants: Ø110 PVC.
- Outlet pipe for treated water: Ø110PVC for gravitation, Ø40mm for pumped outlet.
- Power cable (only for versions with included outlet pumps) – For dimensions see electrical specifications.
Ensure that the in- and outlet pipes are fixed, and that the water flows freely to and from the system.

PhosClear range
The PhosClear range supports capacities from 1 to 12 PE, with options for both gravity and pumped outlets. It allows for a maximum of one riser, up to 250mm in height.
