The Notgrove Estate, a sprawling 1,500-acre family farm perched atop the stunning Cotswold Hills, sits at the very heart of the Cotswolds. This enchanting destination features a variety of holiday cottages, pods, and tents, all embraced by breathtaking natural beauty. Here, visitors can indulge in mapped walks and cycling routes, as well as partake in a diverse array of activities, making it the ideal retreat for nature enthusiasts and vacationers alike.
The site owners were looking for off grid sewage options in the uk to replace their septic tanks for their sizable residential site with shop and holiday glamping pods.

THE CHALLENGE
This project was full of challenges. The most important one was to keep the site as natural as possible, and the landscape not to be spoiled.
Indeed, Notgrove is an area of outstanding beauty so the residential sewage treatment plant needed to have the least visual impact possible.
One more challenge was the fluctuating load from holiday. In fact, the load is variable from holiday periods of time to non-holiday ones. So, the sewage treatment system installed needed to be able to adjust it and deal with it.
The Installation
The specification of Tricel Maxus
Considering the challenges mentioned above, among the off grid sewage options in the UK, we specified the Tricel Maxus Jupiter which is a perfect choice for either seasonal or continuous heavy loads.The control panel is designed to adapt automatically to the incoming load, ensuring optimal performance. Additionally, the system will enter a power-saving mode when there’s no flow, and it will automatically restart upon detecting flow without the need for manual intervention.
Tricel installer MPC Services was approached by the customer and recommended us for the project. Our team was involved to size the system, and talk through the technical challenges and options offered by Tricel.
The installation and follow-up
We had a great working relationship with the installer MPC Services on this project. The installation was carried out over three weeks. Once installation was complete, our team commissioned the unit, and we will be remotely monitoring it to guarantee peak performance levels.
