Tricel offers its interpretation of what this solution should be about. The Tricel Septic tank is called the Vento. It is designed in compliance with EN12566-1 standards.
It is introducing Tricel’s very own septic tank, the Tricel Vento.
Tricel Septic Tank is constructed from high-density polyethene using the latest blow moulding technology. This market-leading polyethene product provides high strength and durability; its lightweight ensures ease of installation, making it ideally suitable for all septic tank applications.
The Vento is built to hold wastewater for some time, allowing solids to sink to the unit’s base and form a sludge. At the same time, the lighter materials rise to the top of the liquid, forming a scum. The leftover liquid effluent is passed through a specially designed outlet pipe into the disposal system for the final treatment stage.

How a Tricel septic tank works
Stage 1: Wastewater flows by gravity into the tanks and is then pushed downwards with a T piece where the solids and heavier materials rest at the unit’s base. A small amount of anaerobic breakdown occurs during this stage.
Stage 2: The lighter solids float to the top of the tank and form a scum. An outlet pipe ensures only the liquid element flows into the percolation area. The specifically designed outlet pipe prevents scum from passing into the percolation area. Should this happen, it would result in blocked pipes.
Stage 3: Finally, the effluent exits the septic tank to enter the final stage of treatment. Here, it passes through the specially designed percolation area. If you’re on a sensitive site that requires a higher level of treatment, the Tricel Puraflo is a good solution. When combined with a secondary treatment tank, a higher level of treatment can be achieved.
